Nikolay Kuryanovich (was born June 19, 1966, Tulun, Irkutsk region) - Russian nationalist, director of the Irkutsk branch of the Russian State Trade-Economic University, deputy of State Duma of the 4th convocation (2003-2007).

Educational background

1983 - graduated with honors high school of Tulun.
1987 - graduated with honors the Novosibirsk Higher Military-Political General Arms School of 60th anniversary of the Great October Revolution.
1998 - graduated the Faculty of Law of Irkutsk State University.
2004 - graduated with honors the Higher Academic Courses of the General Staff Military Academy.
  2007 - graduated the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Career

From 1987 to 1992 he served in the parts of the Navy Marine Corps. He worked as an entrepreneur, a head of the Department of Administrative and Legal Committee of Sayan City Administration, a counsel, a lawyer.

In 1996-2006 - member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. During the 7 years he led Sayan city organization. He was coordinator of the Irkutsk Regional Branch of the Liberal Democratic Party, assistant of the deputy Loginov E.Y. in State Duma, lecturer on civil law at the international legal department of Law Institute of ISU.

Since 2003 - Member of the State Duma of the fourth convocation, he was part of the LDPR faction. Member of the Duma Security Committee, a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

In 2006 Kuryanovich was expelled from the Liberal Democratic Party. From the words of the head of the LDPR faction in the Duma Igor Lebedev, «Kuryanovich excluded from both the party and a faction due to gross and systematic violations of party and faction discipline».

In December 2008 he was appointed Rector of the Irkutsk branch of the Russian Trade and Economic University (RGTEU).

Public activities

Nikolay Kuryanovich participated in organization of certain number of actions and manifestations. He attended “Russian marsh” of 2005, but was not among its organizers.

Kuryanovich used to communicate with DPNI, Russkiy Obraz, RONS and other organizations.

In 2006 Nikolay Kuryanovich entered the public council of “Russian marsh” – the initiative where a lot of other politicians participate ruled by S.N.Baburin. Kuryanovich was the author of idea of composition of “lists of enemies of the Russian people”.

Being the deputy Kuryanovich offered to cancel 282 Article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Stimulation of hate or hostility or humiliation”) which in accordance with his point of view was directed straightly against Russians, giving proof that only Russian people used to be brought by this Article and not citizens of other nationalities.

Kuryanovich also was the author of legal initiatives about legalization of carrying of the short-boled weapons, about prohibition of abortions, about prohibition of departure of young women (under 21) abroad, about acknowledgement of Orthodoxy as the State Religion in the Russian Federation.
